Ty lemming and End
I translated this as accurately as I could. I did not mean to sound arrogant by writing this although accept that might be how it came across. This is purely describing my thought process when I see not only my own team but the opposition team. I can approximate, based on stereotypes, the skill, build and hence capabilites of my 3 teammates and my opposition.
On top of this I add their guild tag, their armour, what weapons they are holding, whether they have trim, if i know them or recognise their names. From this, using my BRAIN (often forgotten by most GWs and RA players) I deduce how best I should approach this fight, and following the fight what my chances of achieveing glad points is. Depending upon this I decide whether I should stay in the team or not. It is a complex thought process that everyone does to different degrees, and actually we do in real life day to day as well. You make assumptions about anyone that you meet day to day.
This is NOT based on whether their builds is from PvX or not. Although that has a part to play with it, you can run a perfectly decent necro bar with no use of secondary profession skills at all... e.g.
Soul Bind, Faint, IP, Defile defense, Rip enchant, FF, Plague, Res sig.... therefore you could be N/Mo, N/Me, N/E anything.... and often good players will just use these for jokes.... I make assumptions based on the other factors i mentioned above (armour, tag etc....)
As you eloquently phrase it.... you do need to see how people play... however often by the time you realise someone is bad despite being Mo/W they could be dead (2 sup runes, + full radiants). However there were clues before this.... healing staff, PvE armour that looks bad... other stuff. Therefore using these clues u might be able to intervene early.
Now about PvX bars vs Non PvX bar....
Assumption
a) there are a limited number of skill combinations
b) some skills have synergy
c) some skills DO NOT work together
d) Some skills are good
e) some skills are bad
based on those you begin to reduce the number of feasible builds
then factor in utility.... can your bar do more than one thing?
then factor in counters.... can your bar be countered easily....
I <3 necros, and they are a good example... so the hypothetical RA curse necro...
OPed necro skills....
Faintheartness
Insidious Parasite
Foul feast
Plague sending
Res sig
ok.... so thats 5/8 already
What counters are there?
Hex removal.... So we need a cover hex....
- defile defenses (better skill)
- parasitic bond
Holy Veil so weneed enchantment removal
- corrupt enchantment
- rip enchantment
Are there any better skills?
- ??? SS better than IP (personally no but ok....)
- Soul bind >> CE (again imo no but ok....)
HOWEVER if u take those.... u need to remember the other skills u need... cover hex + enchantment removal...
therefore the number of skills remaining are limited....
If there is an abundance of casters and monks... then maybe soul bind ftw....
if its OPed Sin day, then maybe maybe maybe run SS?
If its over hex day.... maybe bring CE and use ur extra skills slot for holy veil instead of shield bash....
YES there are variations but im sorry to say there is no good curses nec build that is not at least based on this template which is ON PVX.
Other classes have more variation but the same truth applies... invariably it will be very hard to dream up a build > than most that are on PvX...
also, you will find its 99.6% of the time that im right :P
lols, and please don't insult me in bad english again, me dont like to confused be by saying what you are!!!!!! seriously
